New Players

Wynnum Vikings AFC have secured some very experienced players for 2009. Of these the most notable are Luke Moriarty, Adam Lewis, and Ash Rodrigues.

Luke Moriarty most recently played with Springwood AFC in the Pineapple Hotel Cup competition, having previously spent 2 years at Morningside AFC where he played 10 senior games and a Reserves Premiership. He is originally from the Corowa region in Country Victoria.

Adam Lewis comes to the club from Coorparoo AFC, having spent the last 4 years playing for the Kings. Previously he played 12 games for Morningside AFC. He brings some height to the club and some good skills for a big man.

Ash Rodrigues comes to the club having played 107 games for Morningside AFC, where he kicked over 100 goals and played in the 2003 and 2004 premiership sides. He also spent the 2001-02 seasons playing for East Perth in the WAFL. He has had the last 2 years off and will inject speed and goal sense to the Vikings forward line.
