Club Details

Wynnum Vikings AFC was founded in 1965 as a junior football club. In 1971, a senior team was fielded in the then Brisbane Australian Football League (BAFL). The seniors have won 3 Senior Premierships and 1 Reserves Premiership.

The club's colours are Royal Blue, Light Blue and Yellow. Wynnums seniors play in the AFLQ State Association Division 1 league, of which they won the 2008 premiership, beating Caloundra Panthers by 1 point. In 2008, Willie Broome celebrated a double for Wynnum by winning the divisions best player for the year.

Wynnum previously won the Division 2 Premiership in 1974 and 2003. The Reserves won their only Premiership in 1998.

The Club is located in the quickly developing Wynnum Manly area, and, being the only AFL club in this expanding area, are hoping that all budding footballers come down to help the club grow in stature further.
